What are peoples thoughts on tires. The Avon super venoms on my commando are shot, and it is time for new rubber. I have been running 90/90-19 front and 100/90-19 rear, but am having a hard time finding tires this size in stock.

Thanks,

Eric

Thank you!

My search-fu is way off. I must have looked and searched for a few hours, and only found them on. backorder.

[EDIT] rear is on backorder there as well.

I thought I would add an update, as I was finally able to find tires in the 90/90 and 100/90 sizes for my early Commando. I was worried when the sizes for the normal Avons I use became unavailable this past fall, and was preparing to move to the Dunlop K81 front/rear of the later bikes and source a later front fender. It looks like Avon has a update with a new compound, and these are now available as the Roadrider MkII.

Who did you ultimately go with? I may end up with a new pair on my 70 roadster (S-1) early narrow fender too!
