Erich brought his frame & center stand over for a bit of tack weld. It was to reduce peening of the centerstand frame stop. Additionally the sloppy bushing showed how the stand can then lean over too far, preventing the rear wheel from lifting off the ground.

Thanks to Dave for welding my experiment up. The added support plate contacts the center stand where there is normally empty space. In theory the extra metal should help spread the load on the mounts when the bike is on its center stand. Time will tell, but it should be better than the stock setup. I'm a bit slow getting pictures up, as I wasn't able to lift the frame until about two days ago. I will try to get better ones shortly.
