Any thoughts on fork oils? I am currently using a 15 wt. oil specifically designed for forks.
I would like to get more action out of forks, someone suggested using automatic transmission fluid. Any thoughts would be welcomed.
Thanks,
Dan

I have 20W fork oil (previous owner included with bike) also read 20/50 works well. And read that 30W works well for 200 lbs and over. After my holiday eating pigotry I may need 30W!

Thank you, I am over 200 so this information will definitely be considered.
The good thing is, I have until at least March before I have to fill them.
Thanks again,
Dan

there are other improvements -dampening kits, spring rates etc. I think ANDOVER has something. I'm sure others with more experience will chime in. My experience is limited to rebuilding forks after crashing in 1976 and an overhaul on current bike so just standard stuff. but like you said plenty of time-actually if you start refilling fluid now it may take until March :-)
