changing out weeping (copper) head gasket, going with composite flame ring. read may variations on line - any one have luck with some liquid gasket around push rod holes? coat one or both sides ? please chime in with your thoughts/advice. thanks,JS

I've mostly used 518 loctite know as purple jelly, both side of gasket, Around the push rod tunnels and around the drain back hole.
Failure to really clean the gasket surfaces of head and barrel reduces effectiveness. Ask Mike Friel about cleanliness :woohoo: .
Hope you know and use the correct tightening /torquing sequence.
