More progress this month. Wiring is more / less complete. No leaks or wet sump. She does start with difficulty but idles nicely once started. What is the double secret method to starting such a big twin?

It pulls quite hard and smooth at 3/4+ throttle, but runs quite roughly at 1/8 - 1/4 throttle. Some work still needs to be done.

Free the clutch, ignition off, tickle and a prime kick, , push the kick-start to the right spot, ignition on, and a manley kick thru !

Cold...
When the (Amal) carbs are set up well, I simply tickle to flood, push the kicker to feel compression, and do the big manly kick. Warm, no tickle. Both are throttle CLOSED, progressing to slight cracked open as the engine is first firing. One kick starts, cold or hot are the norm.
